The Story:
 
   

D.O.B : 24/5/1983. Resides - Brighton

Matt Lloyd came to us with the goal to improve his cycling leg of triathlons and ended up sticking to cycling.

He resides in Brighton and works at the movies. He is currently in his last year of his criminal justice degree at university.

KWPT:
Why did you get started in cycling?
Matt:
To beat people.

KWPT:
When did you start racing?
Matt:
November 2003.

KWPT:
Why did you start training with Kathy Watt Cycling?
Matt:
So that I could get an edge over my competition, and it was also located close to home.

KWPT:
Why did you decide to stick to cycling opposed to your triathlons?
Matt:
You get to go much faster and there is a much better atmosphere at cycling races.

KWPT:
What do you like the best about training with Kathy Watt Cycling?

Matt:
The recognition of goal setting and specific training to help reach those goals.

KWPT:
What is your most favourite cycling moment so far?

Matt:
My first road race – the national championships.

KWPT:
You performed extremely well at your first national championships earlier this year, what is your next big race?

Matt:
The Alpine Classic at Mt Baw Baw, which is on the 24th of April.

KWPT:
What is your ultimate cycling goal?

Matt:
To win the Tour De France.

KWPT:
What is your cycling food?

Matt:
Nothing beats Powerbar cookies and cream protein bar after a hard or not so hard ride.

KWPT:
What aspects do you like about cycling?

Matt:
Speed, power, endurance and I love the climbing.

KWPT:
What is your favourite meal?

Matt:
Mum's cannelloni.

KWPT:
What are your favourite three movies?

Matt:
Billy Madison, Old School, and The Shawshank Redemption.
